This is unfortunately a major twist, but it feels disingenuous to leave it unacknowledged so if you want to know which pairing it is, click here for who and in what context.

UPDATE 5/3: This post now has an edit history page, along with additional credits. By nature of it being a content warning list, this alludes to spoilers, but exists to inform people interested in the novel of what’s depicted before they begin the series. So below, I’ve detailed what I consider the most important content warnings for Umineko.įor the most part, it’s novel exclusive since I haven’t read the manga/watched the anime (aside from Confessions). While there is a Does the Dog Die? page for it, it misses a lot of content warnings that I personally would have put in, nor is it as detailed as I would have liked. It’s also very intense, and very content warning heavy. It’s one Hell of a beast with murder mystery, metafiction, and maybe even fantasy that’s 100% a worthwhile reading experience for any fans of mystery VNs. Umineko no Naku Koro ni, literally When the Seagulls Cry, is a 2007 sound novel by Ryukishi07, the author of the generally more well-known Higurashi series.
